The resume is also known as the CV which is the short version of the curriculum vitae. There are some standard rules that you should follow while preparing a one before you apply for a job application.

Your CV is the biggest factor for being called for a job interview by an organization, which is why you need to prepare your CV according to the following formats. The sheet should be in A4 size. The font you will choose for your CV should be Times New Roman, Helvetica or Arial.5

The font size for name should be 14 which will make it bolder and bigger than the rest of the text. The address and phone numbers font should be 10 that is the readable minimum size. The headings should be 13 that is a bit bolder and bigger than the text and the body of your CV should be 11 or 12.

You need to bold the organization and company names. The line spacing should be single and whole the length of the CV should not exceed a sheet but this may be two for some specific job applications. Never translate the special names and company names. They should be written in their original format.
