You are in a new city. You are hungry and tired, and you're looking for a place to sit down at ease, and eat good food. You find a street full of eateries. You pass by all of them, looking at their exteriors, noting what cuisine they offer, and occasionally, pausing to glance at the menu they've displayed on the window.
Once you've finished your short search (remember, you're hungry, and don't have much time to look at them all in detail) you zero in on a Chinese restaurant, because it looks clean and inviting, the door décor is tasteful, and the menu looks interesting.
The Thai restaurant next door might have had the best food in the whole street, and the Indian restaurant across the street might have boasted the most comfortable interiors and the best hospitality. The Italian restaurant at the end of the street was probably the cleanest one of all, with great food and cool interiors. But, the restaurant you finally chose was the one that originally created the best impression on you. You might ultimately not like the restaurant after all, and might not patronize it henceforth. But what mattered is that this restaurant already started off on the right foot, and got an opportunity to prove itself to you.
